High Five wins the 2014 Missions Cup in a close match.
The 2nd Missions Cup tournament was held at one of the premier golf courses in the Rio Grande Valley, Tierra Santa Golf Club in Weslaco, TX. Teams were expanded to 20 players this year, giving a total of 40 matches. After the morning Scramble Round, ITG lead 6-4. In the afternoon Foursome Round, H5 came back strong scoring 6 points to ITG's 4. Knotting the match at 10-10. It would all come down to the Singles Round on Sunday. Sunday's Singles Matches were set with high anticipation Saturday night. With a light Saturday night rain, the table was set for a wet grudge match. When the sun came out, and the matches completed it was settled. High Five wins the cup! 21 - 19 The 2014 Showdown was held in April at The Max A. Mandel Municipal Golf Course in Laredo, TX.
